Today the International Union of Food, Agricultural, Hotel, Restaurant, Catering, Tobacco and Allied Workers’ Associations (IUF) issued a press release stating that they have asked the International Labor Organization (ILO) to conduct an independent investigation and evaluation of the labor relations, human rights and workers’ rights practices at Coca-Cola bottling facilities in Colombia. The press release can be found at: www.iuf.org/en/newswire.shtml.
We previously committed to working with a respected third party to complete an independent and impartial investigation and evaluation of the labor relations and workers' rights practices in Coca-Cola bottling facilities in Colombia. Today's announcement is an important next step in acting on that commitment as we continue striving to take a leadership role in ensuring the rights and safety of workers around the world.
