Coca-Cola Launched Two Rain Water Projects in Dehli
Coca–Cola India inaugurated two Rain Water Harvesting projects in collaboration with Central Ground Water Board in South Delhi recently to combat the depleting water table situation. One of the projects launched by Mrs.Choudhary, Municipal Councilor in the Vasant Kunj Area, has the capacity to harvest over 8,50,000 liters of water (peak capacity– 15,00,000 liters) in its first phase & is expandable to nearly 60,00,000 liters of water. The project once completed will help the area which was afflicted with serious water scarcity in the past.
Another similar Rain Water Harvesting project was launched at Aravali Apartments, Alaknanda in South Delhi in collaboration with Central Ground Water Board & FORCE, an NGO. The project was inaugurated by Dhir Singh Kasana, Municipal Councilor & Virender Singh Kasana, former councilor. The project aims to create a capacity to harvest over 15,00,000 liters of water in the area. The residents of the area including the children were also present at the inauguration.
