At Coca-Cola, we are committed to the communities we serve on a local, national, regional and global scale. Our commitment is to invest time, expertise, and resources to provide economic opportunity, improve the quality of life, and foster goodwill in our communities through locally relevant initiatives. In India, our commitment takes shape through our support of numerous education and health initiatives. Please take a moment to learn more. Education We believe that supporting education is the best way we can help build stronger communities. In all of our operations around the world, we are committed to partnering with education organizations to offer scholarships, build schools, encourage children to stay in school, and create opportunities for the underprivileged. In India, We are working with community leaders to stage educational street plays that will reach hundreds of thousands of villagers. We also provide scholarships to needy students so they can continue to pursue their education. All our bottlers across the country are actively involved in activities to support education. In Wada, Maharashtra, the local bottler adopted 16 schools in nearby villages to benefit thousands of underprivileged students. In Jamshedpur, the bottler provided infrastructure support to KBP School by repairing the building and providing books, stationery and basic health facilities to the students. We believe education empowers people and we are proud to be a partner in the promise of education in India. Health Local government agencies and NGOs help to identify areas of need, while NGO specialists in health and community service are responsible for implementation. We support health camps that offer free health check ups and medicine, as well as health education on numerous topics. In Atmakuru, Andhra Pradesh, the bottler organized eye camps, malaria eradication camps and Hepatitis B vaccinations to local communities free of cost. In Palakkad, Kerala, the bottler supported three health camps in local villages. Other Coca-Cola supported health initiatives in India include providing support for a national childline, a 24-hour emergency helpline for children in need of care and protection; and supporting Blood Donation Camps and awareness workshops around the country.
